High School Football Games Postponed Due to Hurricane Matthew

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — With the threat of Hurricane Matthew impacting most of the state, several high schools in the Midlands have postponed or changed their schedules.
The following is an updated list as of Tuesday at 10:30 p.m.
Thursday
Curtis Baptist at Richard Winn, 6:30 p.m.
Heathwood Hall at Cardinal Newman, 7 p. m.
Newberry at Broome
Fox Creek at Eau Claire, postponed to a later date
North Augusta at Airport, postponed to a later date
Lancaster at Richland Northeast, postponed to a later date
Westwood at South Pointe, postponed to a later date
Gray Collegiate at Saluda, postponed to a later date
Hammond at Porter-Gaud, postponed to a later date
Friday
Irmo at Spring Valley, postponed to a later date
Fairfield Central at Camden, postponed to a later date
Keenan at C.A. Johnson, postponed to a later date
York at Ridge View, postponed to a later date
Hammond at Porter-Gaud, postponed to a later date
Monday
Dutch Fork at Lexington, 7 p.m.
Batesburg-Leesville at Barnwell, 7 p.m.

Earlier today, Gov. Nikki Haley ordered that school districts in several counties would be closed, including some of the school districts in the midlands. Makeup dates for most of these games have not been announced yet.
