(AP)–Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have held their third and final debate of the campaign. The 90-minute face-off covered issues including the Supreme Court, immigration, abortion, foreign affairs and fitness to be president. Trump largely steered clear of making personal attacks against Clinton at the start of the debate, but repeatedly clashed with her as it went on.

The debate quickly shifted from a calm, policy-focused face off into a bitter and deeply personal confrontation. He called her a liar, questioned her experience and at one point labeled her a “nasty woman.”Clinton called Trump “unfit” to be commander in chief. At one point, Clinton cast Trump as a “puppet” of Russian President Vladimir Putin; Trump shot back that Clinton was the “puppet.”

Claiming that the election process is “rigged,” Donald Trump has refused to say if he would accept the results of the election if Hillary Clinton is the winner. Trump took the position during the third and final presidential debate, held in Las Vegas. Asked a second time by moderator Chris Wallace if he would accept the outcome, Trump responded, “I will tell you at the time. I’ll keep you in suspense.”  Rival Hillary Clinton called that “horrifying.” The Republican National Committee was quick to disavow Trump’s refusal to  accept the results of next month’s election after the debate.
