Coroner Releases Name of Shooting Victim

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner has released the name of the individual who was involved in a shooting incident late Friday night or early Saturday morning in the 7ooo block of Tama Roadin in Columbia.

Gary Watts said Sylvester R. Riley, 60, of Tama Road was found deceased in his apartment Saturday evening at approximately 8:30 p.m.

An autopsy indicated that Mr. Riley died from a gunshot wound to the upper body, Watts said.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
