Toyota Air Bag Recall Expands

CNN- Japanese automaker Toyota said Wednesday it’s recalling another 5.8 million vehicles around the globe because of Takata’s exploding airbags. That brings the total number of vehicles Toyota has called back since the start of the Takata scandal to 23.1 million.
he main areas hit by the latest recall are Europe, Japan and China, Toyota said in an email. Hugely popular models like the Corolla, Yaris and Etios are affected.
The U.S. is not included in this round, the automaker said, because it has already recalled the models there that were produced during the relevant periods of time. In all, Toyota has so far recalled more than 4.5 million vehicles in the U.S.
