Democrats, Republicans and Political Experts React to Election

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A big night for the GOP in South Carolina. The state went red for President-Elect Donald Trump. Other candidates won big in their local races as well.

While Grand Old Party members were celebrating their victories, many Democrats were left disheartened after candidate Secretary Hillary Clinton lost the election, trailing Trump by over 50 electoral votes. ABC Columbia spoke with local leaders in the Republican and Democratic parties as well as a political expert about the impact of the 2016 election.
