Air Quality Alert Issued for Wednesday
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– The Department of Health and Environmental Control says smoke from wildfires across the southeast is prompting an Air Quality Action day.
That means the air quality could reach unhealthy levels.
The affected counties include Abbeville, Aiken, Allendale, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chester, Edgefield, Fairfield, Greenville, Greenwood,Laurens, Lexington, McCormick, Newberry, Oconee, Orangeburg, Pickens, Richland, Saluda, Spartanburg, Union, and York.
