RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – UPDATE  Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department say the teen was found and taken to the hospital for observation.

Deputies are searching for a teen who they say was last seen getting off a school bus in the 1800 block of Longcreek Drive Monday afternoon.

Sheriff Leon Lott said it is “very uncharacteristic” of 14-year-old Tylena Brown to not contact her family.

Tylena is described as a black female, 5’ 07’ tall, 112 pounds, brown eyes, black hair; she was last seen wearing blue jeans, pink Converse sneakers, blue zip-up sweatshirt, and carrying a black book bag, officials say.

Lott said Brown is very close with her family and has not made and contact with them since her disappearance and this is causing great concern for her family.

Anyone with information about Tylena Brown should call 911 immediately.
