RCSD: Suspect Broke Victim’s Finger During Theft at Belk

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A male suspect is being sought in connection with three shoplifting incidents at the Belk’s department store located in the 600 block of Promenade Place.
Benjamin Kearse, 52, is accused of stealing seven polo shirts and jackets valued at $1,400 from the store between October 2 and October 28.
While fleeing the location on October 28, Kearse assaulted a store employee, breaking the victim’s finger authorities say.
