Benedict College Basketball Player Killed in Hit-And-Run

Rashee Jamal Hodges (22-Year-old college athlete killed in hit-and-run)

Richland County (WOLO) – South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that left a man dead early Sunday morning.

Richland County Corner said 22-year-old Rashee Jamal Hodges, was struck and killed by a vehicle while he was standing on the side of the roadway in the 5400 block of Bluff Road in Hopkins at 1:20 a.m.

Troopers said Hodges and another pedestrian were hit by the vehicle.

The autopsy indicated that Hodges died from traumatic injuries due to the incident. The second person hit suffered minor injuries.

SC department of public safety is asking for the public’s help identifying the driver and vehicle. Troopers describe the vehicle as a 1997-2001 gold Toyota Camry.
