Benedict College Host Vigil For Students Mourning
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Students and staff at Benedict College held a candle light vigil for Rashee Hodges. Hodges was a college athlete whose life was cut short after being struck by a car on Sunday. Hodges basketball coach, Fred Watson, told WOLO that his life has been changed forever.
“This has definitely been the toughest thing I’ve ever had to do,” Watson said. “Calling his parents and telling them that their son passed away was hard. It’s the worst nightmare for a coach.”
Hodges Funeral is scheduled for Saturday at Colleton County Middle School at 11 a.m.
