Suspect Arrested in Connection to Patricia Drive Fatal Shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department arrested a suspect Thursday in connection to a shooting that occurred earlier in the day.

24-year-old Brian White is accused of killing 48-year-old James Turner; White was an acquaintance of the victim and was allegedly involved in an ongoing family dispute.

Deputies say Turner’s was found unresponsive in a van outside a residence in the 7200 block of Particia Drive around 7 a.m.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said James died as a result of complication from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

White is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
