Man dies after hitting tree in Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A man was killed on Friday night after crashing into a tree on Farrow Road in Columbia.

Bryant E. Dreher,69, was traveling southbound on Farrow road when he crossed the median, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Richard County Coroner, Gary Watts said Dreher was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported by Richland County EMS to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital ER where he died at 9:18 p.m.

His cause of death was due to multiple trauma.

The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
