Man Found Dead in Richland County Vacant House Fire

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) –The death of a man found dead in a vacant house fire on Carver street is under investigation.

Richland County Coroner, Gary Watts, said an unidentified man was found dead in a vacant residence on Saturday morning after the fire was extinguished.

The fire was reported at 2:30 a.m Saturday on Carver Street in Columbia

The Columbia Fire Department and the Columbia Police Department are investigating the incident.

Watts is working on identifying the deceased.
