Deputies investigating after man shot in Richland County


RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County deputies are investigating a shooting that happened on Trotter Road Saturday afternoon.

Authorities were called to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital at 4 p.m in reference to a gunshot wound victim.

Deputies said the victim was walking down Kelford Drive towards Trotter Road when a concerned citizen saw him stumbling. The citizen took the victim to the hospital where he was treated for his gunshot wound.

The victim has been treated and is expected to survive.

Richland County Deputies have reason to believe that this shooting is related to an ongoing incident.

Authorities are currently investigating this shooting and ask anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers.
