Man, 24, Sought for Attempted Murder Following Shooting, Deputies Say

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A 24-year-old man is being sought by deputies for attempted murder after allegedly shooting a man following an altercation on Saturday.

Deputies say Jonathan Edward Rutherford pulled his vehicle in front of the victim’s vehicle forcing it to stop while they were traveling on Trotter Road in Hopkins.

Rutherford shot the victim in the upper body before fleeing, deputies say.

The victim is in critical condition at the hospital.
