Newberry Set to Return to Winning Ways Against Mars Hill

NEWBERRY – Newberry men’s basketball will host Mars Hill on Wednesday, Dec. 14at Eleazer Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

Gerald Evans currently leads Newberry with 14.0 points per game.

Six Newberry players are averaging double-figure points per game.

MARS HILL STORYLINES

Mars Hill is 3-5 this season and currently sits at 1-2 in South Atlantic Conference play.

Vernon Jackson leads the Lions at 17.1 points per game.

Cody Hylton is fifth in the South Atlantic Conference in three-point percentage at 50.0 percent.

Last season, Mars Hill finished 9-19 overall and 5-17 in the SAC.

Vic Finora is the interim head coach for the Lions.
