SLED: Nursing Assistant Charged with Abusing Patient

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A 25-year-old nursing assistant is accused of abusing one of the nursing home’s patients.

According to an arrest warrant, Laquita McReynolds of Columbia, was working at the C.M. Tucker Nursing Care Facility when a witness saw her slapping the victim several times in the face.

It is alleged that the incident occurred on or about March 7.

She’s charged with physical abuse of a vulnerable adult, a felony.

If convicted, McReynolds could face up to five years in prison.

She is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
