Swinney Won’t Allow a National Championship to Define Clemson

Dabo Swinney was asked Monday if winning a national title defines a college football program. His answer, while blunt, was a resounding “no”. Clemson hasn’t won a national championship since 1981; Dabo Swinney has never won a national title as a head coach. On New Year’s Eve, the Tigers can take one more step in the direction of winning its first under Dabo in the College Football Playoff semifinal against Ohio State.
