Victim Dies After Shooting, Charge Upgraded to Murder

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Prosecutors have filed murder charges against a 29-year-old man after the man he is accused of shooting in the head on December 10, died.

Jirmaine Kakieth Mobley is charged with killing Justin Jones, 26; police say they are still investigating the circumstances that lead up to the shooting.

Jones died on Sunday at Palmetto Health Richland.

He was previously charged with assault and battery of  a high and aggravated nature and unlawful carrying of a pistol.
