Suspect Sought in Botched Robbery Attempt, Deputies Say

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department are looking for a black male who they say was captured on video surveillance demanding money from a store employee last week.

The suspect has a medium build and was wearing a camouflage hat and jacket, light blue t-shirt, dark blue sweater, and jeans when he went to the Food Mart located in the 4100 block of Broad River Road just after 6:30 p.m. on December 22, deputies say.

The suspect allegedly fled the store in a dark colored vehicle.

Deputies say no money was taken.
