After missing the final six non-conference games, indefinitely suspended for a violation of athletic department policy, Sindarius Thornwell is returning to the Gamecocks’ lineup. USC head coach Frank Martin announced that both he and athletic director Ray Tanner went over the situation and have approved the star senior’s change in status in a statement released earlier Monday:

“Sindarius has taken full responsibility for his mistake that led to his suspension,” Martin said. “He has worked hard over the course of the last few weeks and has done everything we’ve asked of him to make his way back to the court.”

The return date comes as the Gamecocks (10-3) get ready to start their SEC slate at Georgia Wednesday.
