Midlands Sheriffs Sworn in Tuesday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A handful of Midlands Sheriffs will be sworn into office Tuesday.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott will take the oath of office at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church. Sheriff Lott is celebrating 20 years leading the Richland County Sheriff Department. He was first sworn into office in January 1997.

In Newberry County, Sheriff Lee Foster will be sworn in at 3 p.m. at the Main Court Room at the Court House by the Honorable Judge E. C. Griffith, Jr.

The public is invited to attend all of these historic ceremonies.
