Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) —- ABC Columbia is following some of the stories making headlines on this Wednesday morning.
Testimony is set to begin in the sentencing phase Dylann Roof’s death penalty trial. The now convicted church shooter will represent himself during this portion of the trial and is also expected to deliver an opening statement.
Roof is facing the death penalty in the 2015 shooting deaths of nine people inside Emanuel AME church in Charleston. ABC Columbia’s Alexis Frazier will be in court and will have the latest developments as they happen inside the courtroom.
Also happening Wednesday, the search continues for a missing man out of Kershaw County. Investigators say Adam Davis was last seen at a friend’s house in the town of Bethune in the early hours of December 30th.
Deputies in Brunswick County, North Carolina are also on the lookout for a missing teen officials believe could be on their way here to South Carolina.
Authorities say 14 year old Macayla Wallace and 15 year old River Boyd were last seen leaving South Brunswick High School early Tuesday. The duo could be traveling in a silver 2011 Civic Honda with North Carolina plates: NC-B-B-Y-4-2-3-7.
