Suspect in Sumter Fatal Shooting Surrenders to Authorities
SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) – Authorities with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office say the suspect wanted in connection to fatal shooting in Sumter County Wednesday night, turned himself in this morning.
Witnesses say 35-year-old Thomas Secor, Jr. shot Thomas Cockerill following an argument in the 4000 block of Briar Branch Road, authorities say.
Authorities say when Secor surrendered to authorities he was accompanied by his attorney Shaun Kent.
Secor will have his first court appearance today 2 p.m. at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
