Man in Critical Condition After Early Morning Shooting in West Columbia
WEST COLUMBIA, SC ( WOLO)–The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an early morning shooting in West Columbia that left one man in critical condition.
Deputies said the male victim, in his 50’s, was shot inside a home in the 600 block of Sumter Street at 5:00 a.m. Sunday.
Evidence was collected from the scene and deputies are conducting interviews.
“We need some tips from the community on this because we really don’t have a lot to go on,” Lexington County Sheriff’s Captain, Adam Myrick said. “So if anyone saw anything, if anyone heard anything, if they’re familiar with a car that might have been involved or if they heard some kind of commotion there at Sumter and Holland streets right around 4:30 5 o’clock this morning, it would be very important for us if they would reach out to us and share that information.”
