Chapin Police Release Sketch of Armed Robbery Suspect
CHAPIN, S.C. (WOLO) – Police are hoping the public can help identify a suspect wanted in the armed robbery of a Chapin Rite Aid.
The suspect was seen on surveillance video going to the store located in the 1400 block of Chapin Road just after 10:30 p.m. on January 14.
Authorities say he stole an undisclosed amount of cash at gunpoint before fleeing in a silver or light color Jeep Wrangler.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid- 20s, with a height of 5’6” to 5’8”, weighing about 160 to 180 pounds, and having light skin with freckles. Witnesses described the suspect’s attire as a white sweat shirt with a grey colored hoodie, dark colored bandana, dark colored pants, white Air Force One sneakers, and dark colored gloves.
