The fourth-ranked Gamecocks have lost three SEC games in the last four years. Two of those three are to the Tennessee Volunteers.

On a night Carolina and Tennessee both honored former Tennessee coach Pat Summitt and her longtime battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, it was the 2017 Tennessee team that looked like a vintage version of a 90’s Vols group coached by Pat.

The Vols ended Carolina’s 30-game home SEC win streak and 23-game SEC regular season win streak. Aside from breaking the streaks, the Volunteers became the second SEC team to beat the Gamecocks since 2015.
