Suspect Named in Officer-Involved Shooting

Cayce, S.C. (WOLO)–A man accused of pointing a gun at police is out of the hospital and in custody.

Officers with Cayce Public Safety say they responded to a home on Tufton Ct. Sunday night.

When they opened the door, they say John Day pointed a handgun at the officers.

That’s when officers say they shot Day in the lower abdomen.

State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the incident.
