Juvenile in Critical Condition After Shooting on Wild Iris Court

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)- The Columbia Police Department is currently on the scene of a shooting that left a male juvenile in serious condition on Sunday.

Officers responded to a shots fired call just before noon on Wild Iris Court, where they found a male juvenile with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Authorities tell ABC Columbia News that the victim is in critical condition and undergoing surgery.

Several youth were on scene at the time of the shooting. Officers are questioning witnesses.

Investigators are working with parents/guardians to determine what happened.

Officers are also conducting a search warrant at the location to gather additional info.
