COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The month of February comes to a close next week, and with it, so does Richland Library’s One Book, One Celebration event.
This year, readers were invited to dive into “Grant Park”, a novel tackling race relations, written by Pulitzer-prize winning journalist, Leonard Pitts, Jr.
Pitts will be giving a free lecture to the public on Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. The event, which also includes a chance for the audience to ask questions and get their books signed, takes place at 701 Whaley in the Olympia neighborhood. Library representatives recommend getting there early to make sure you have a seat.
Good Morning Columbia’s Grace Joyal talked to community and media relations coordinator Emily Stoll about Pitts’ other work, and what you can expect from him Thursday.
