Black History Moment
Isom Bartrone Iowman Junior
Today we celebrate Isom Bartrone Lowman Junior.
The Columbia native honed his business skills at the early age of 6 taking pictures at family functions and selling them to relatives. He even sold candy to his fellow classmates.
Lowman invested his money in the stock market while attending Morehouse College generating 60 thousand dollars by the time he graduated. He then used that money to purchase his first Athlete’s Foot Shoe store and now owns dozens.
All month long we celebrate black South Carolinian’s who have had a profound impact on the state…and the world.
