Run to Raise Awareness About Human Trafficking

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The second “Run for Her Life” 5k takes place this weekend, to benefit non-profit Lighthouse for Life.

The race kicks-off Saturday, February 25 at Saluda Shoals Park. That’s at 5605 Bush River Rd. in Columbia. This is a family friendly event and is stroller friendly. Walkers are welcome. For more information, and to register for Saturday’s event, click here.

Lighthouse for Life, a non-profit based in Columbia, fights against sex trafficking. Its mission is to restore victims of domestic minor sex trafficking to spiritual, physical, and emotional wholeness. Currently, the organization is working toward opening the first safe house in South Carolina for girls ages 12-17 who have been rescued from sex trafficking.
