Woman Charged with 3 Counts of Attempted Murder

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A woman was arrested overnight after deputies say she fired several shots into a home.
Mandy Fortson, 44, is charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm into an dwelling.
Richland County deputies say Fortson fired several shots into an apartment in the 100 block of Thornwell Court just before 11:30 p.m.
Four people, including a child, were inside the apartment when the shots were fired.
Fortson allegedly shot a victim in the upper body after the victim went outside to investigate the shooting.
The victim suffered non-life injuries.
