AIKEN, S.C. (AP) – Authorities say an inmate found unresponsive in showers at the Aiken County jail died of natural causes.
Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton says 58-year-old Jimmy Keenan of Aiken died at a local hospital about 7 p.m. Thursday.
Local media outlets report he was found in showers during a routine check and taken to the hospital. Capt. Eric Abdullah tells The Augusta Chronicle that Keenan was in jail on two charges of possessing less than one gram of meth or cocaine.
