After making a run through the SCISA Tournament all the way to the 3A State Championship game, Cardinal Newman was unable to get past Porter-Gaud on Saturday night in Sumter.

The defending champion Cyclones completed their journey of winning back-to-back rings, beating the Cardinals 55-44 at the Sumter County Civic Center.
