Smokin' Joe Frazier
Today we celebrate Joe Frazier.
Smokin’ Joe Frazier was a 1964 Olympic Heavyweight Championship Boxer. He also was the World Heavyweight Champion, a title he held from 1970 to 1973.
The Beaufort native had 37 fights in his professional career, winning 32, with 27 knock outs.
The International Boxing Research Organization rated Frazier as one of the 10 greatest heavyweights of all time.
Frazier is in the International Boxing Hall of Fame, and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.
