Indie Grits Announces Plans for its 2017 Festival

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Organizers of Indie Grits, described as the Southeast’s premier film and culture festival in Columbia, S.C. for artists, filmmakers and game developers  announced its plans for the 2017 festival at a press conference this afternoon..

Amada Torruella, co-curator of Indie Grits Visiones will announce plans, schedules and highlights of this year’s festival, including:

–       For the first time, Indie Grits opened submissions to Latin America and Latinx filmmakers from across the US, and we selected over 30 films to be screened at the festival.

–       Latinx artists, many living in South Carolina, participated in an intensive, six-month collaborative project creating a diverse series of works centered around the theme, Visiones, that will be premiered throughout the festival.

–       Other Indie Grits events that attendees anticipate annually, including music announcements for the outdoor FREE events.
