RCSD: Man Found with Severe Injuries, Suffered Medical Emergency

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Sheriff’s Department are now saying that a man found with severe injuries was not beaten, but suffered a medical condition that caused his injuries.
In an earlier release, deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department responded to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital on February 26, in reference to a 66 year-old male that was transported by EMS with severe facial and upper body injuries, authorities say.
The victim was taken into surgery in life-threatening condition.
RCSD investigators discovered that the victim suffered a medical condition that caused him to fall and receive the injuries, authorities say.
The condition of the victim is not known.
