Driver Killed After Crashing Into Tree and Barn

NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WOLO)- One person is dead after their car ran off the road and crashed into a tree and a barn Sunday morning.

Troopers say the fatal wreck happened at 9:18a.m. on SC 56, just two miles south of Chappells. The driver of a 2005 Dodge SUV was traveling north on SC 56 when it ran off the road, drove through a field, hit a tree and then a barn.

Officials say the driver died at the scene from their injuries.
