Gamecock Fans Get Wet And Wild in Fountain to Celebrate Win

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- Gamecock fans got wet and wild outside of the Thomas Cooper Library after the women’s basketball team’s historic win.

Sunday night the newly founded “fountain tradition” continued after the University of South Carolina women took home the national championship title.

Moments after the Gamecock women defeated Mississippi State 67-55 the Thomas Cooper Library fountain filled up with students celebrating the sweet victory.

The fountain tradition has been going on ever since the Gamecocks starting winning in the NCAA Tournament.

The Gamecock women made history Sunday night, winning the national championship title.
