COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Going above and beyond the call of Duty.

A longtime South Carolina Highway Patrolman has been named SC Trooper of the Year.

Lance Corporal Kenneth Small was honored for his life saving efforts.

Small saved the life of a Five year old girl who was having a seizure back in January.
