Columbia, SC. (WOLO) —It’s a gorgeous Tuesday and if you are looking for some things to do around the Midlands, ABC Columbia has you covered.

Brighten up your day with the “keys” to home ownership. The Columbia’s Community Development department is hosting a two day homebuyers workshop to put you on the right track to owning your own home. The event will be held Tuesday night from 6PM -8PM at the Richland Library SE location just off Garners Ferry Road. Registration is required.

Help Columbia Parks and Rec and the Columbia Police Department fight youth violence during National Youth Violence Prevention Week. The event will have speakers focusing on bullying, gang violence and helping build positive interactions with Law Enforcement. You can join the event Wednesday at 5:30PM at the Colony at Bailey Street, near Bethel Bishop. This event is free and open to the public.

And you can take a walk on the wild side Tuesday night by enjoying some of the sights and sounds the Capital City has to offer. Riverfront Park invites you to their ranger led Wildlife Walk from 6PM to 7PM at 4122 River Drive .
