When the Gamecocks take the floor to defend their National Championship next season, they’ll be without three of their biggest contributors from 2016-17.

Guards Allisha Davis and Kaela Davis each announced on Monday that they will be forgoing fifth seasons in their collegiate careers, declaring for the WNBA Draft. Each player sat out last season after transferring to USC from North Carolina and Georgia Tech respectively. Each player is a junior in terms of their basketball eligibility, but a senior academically.

Gray ended the campaign as the Gamecocks second-leading scorer, averaging 13.2 points per game, while Davis was fourth, putting up 12.7 a night.

Head coach Dawn Staley spoke on her player’s decisions, while also announcing that senior Alaina Coates has also been invited to the WNBA Draft.
