Tornado Confirmed in Union County from Monday

UNION, SC (WOLO)– Officials with the National Weather Service confirm an EF 1 Tornado touched down in Whitmire in Union County Monday.

During the storm, a mobile home was flipped over. According to the Union County Coroner, 66 year old J.C. Matthews Jr. was killed.

The Union County Sheriff, David Taylor, said Matthews’ home flipped several times.
