Gonzaga Flag on way to Columbia City Hall for Friendly Wager Pay Up

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin is a man of his word, he’s paying up on a friendly bet he made over Basketball.

The Mayor had a friendly wager going with the Spokan Mayor over the outcome of the USC Men’s Final Four game against Gonzaga.

Whichever team won, the Mayor of that city would have to fly the opposing team’s flag at City Hall. Of course, Gonzaga won.

Mayor Benjamin tells us the flag is on its way to city hall and it will be flown, maybe just not for that long.
