COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–Hundreds turned out at the State House, breaking out their stilettos to strut for a good cause.

The annual ‘Walk a Mile in Their Shoes’ event brought out participants Thursday evening at the State House.

The walk is a way to raise awareness of the victims and survivors of Sexual trauma and abuse, and to let them know there are free places they can turn and a community putting pumps to pavement to support their fight against being a victim.

The walk is hosted by Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.
