Tim Tebow Talks After Pro Baseball Debut with Fireflies

Tim Tebow is officially a pro baseball player.

The former Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Florida and NFL quarterback homered in his very first at bat of his brand new baseball career, helping the Columbia Fireflies to a 14-7 win over the Augusta Green Jackets on opening day. Batting seventh and starting in left field, Tebow went 1-for-5 at the plate, driving in two runs on his second-inning blast, while striking out three times.

After getting his first taste of what the former QB refereed to as a “very new” journey, the Fireflies outfielder spoke with the media after the first day of the rest of his career.
