Ever since the Gamecocks cut down the nets in Dallas, Dawn Staley’s been seen everywhere wearing her piece of history. There’s a reason for that.

The Gamecocks’ head coach isn’t rocking the piece of her program’s first ever national championship to be boastful, but to inspire.

Staley spoke at the Gamecocks’ title parade on Sunday about the reason behind her “netlace” and the importance it carries to her and to the state of South Carolina.
