After losing two of three from the Vanderbilt Commodores, USC needed something positive to go their way.

On Monday, the Gamecocks received the news they’d hoped for all month when Chad Holbrook announced Tyler Johnson would be cleared to play this week.

The Gamecock closer has been held out of games for the past month with soreness in his throwing arm, but the Head Gamecock telling 107.5 The Game Monday Johnson is ready to go.

USC faces UNC in Charlotte Tuesday night.
