Regional Red Cross Hosts 24-Hour Giving Blitz

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The American Red Cross of Central SC is hosting its annual 24-hour giving blitz, to provide hope and urgent relief like food and other essentials to people coping with disaster.

Each year, the Red Cross responds to nearly 64,000 disasters nationwide. That means every eight minutes, the organization responds to a disaster, most of which are house fires. A gift to this one-day awareness effort can provide urgent relief like a day’s worth of food, plus blankets and other essentials.
